I recently had a co-op member ask me if we were getting a good deal with our produce. Well, as a fellow penny pincher I was curious myself. Putting everything into consideration along with the rising food prices, buying the more expensive local option and weights and measures here is what I came up with...

$23.46 taking the lowest price on everything
Total for $25 bag at Whole Foods:
Field greens 5.99, beets 4.99, mushroom, pepper (2), mango (2), Pink lady apples (8-10), tomatoes, tangelo (2), Sugar Snap Peas (1/2 pound approximately), strawberries:
$47.46 (taking the lowest price and weight on everything)
I can’t really give a good example of the Publix since they did not have all the options we have along with the Green Wise option.
