Lazy Chicken

Is there nothing this little crock pot can't do??? This morning it was an air freshener and tonight it made dinner.

Lazy Chicken
3 pounds boneless chicken (or any other meat, it really doesn't matter)
1 (25 ounce) jar pasta sauce

The directions:
Use a 4-quart slow cooker. Put the chicken (or other meat) into your slow cooker. Add the entire jar of sauce. If you'd like, you can put a tablespoon or so of water into the empty jar and shake it around to release the remaining sauce. Pour that in, too. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 to 5 hours. When finished, shred the meat with 2 large forks, and serve over pasta or rice.

From my favorite cookbook, "Make it fast, Cook it slow" page 262

Air Freshener

I don't always use air freshener, but I saw this in my favorite cook book, "Make it fast, Cook it slow" and wanted to try it.
Fill small crock pot 2/3 way full with water and put a few drops of essential oil in. "Cook" on low for however long you want.
You can also use this as a odor eater. Use baking soda in water and "cook" on low and it will eat up all the bad smells in the air.
