If you have not read before that I like to sew then this is new news, if you have then you know... I like to sew. My oldest son Luke attends Pre-K 4 and his teacher asked me to make a quilt. I have quilted before, but never with a pattern or pre chosen fabrics. So here is how I did this 1.5 hour project...

First you buy this lovely set from JoAnn's for a whopping 24.99,
unless you have a coupon for 40% off like I did |
These are all the 6.5 by 6.5 squares I cut out |
This is the backing that is 30 X 36..(approximately) |
All the squares lined up in their designated lines |
sewn into lines and ready for the final put together |
All together and measuring for backing |
After the first ironing with the backing on |
I put a trim on the top and left the sides open.

A fellow classroom mom is going to write the students names on tags to sew along the sides of the quilt. I cannot wait to see this completed. This was so simple and it looks really beautiful.
This is the final quilt, for some reason this program will not flip it right side up |

I love the little heart on this one! |
