A clean tub is a sign of a clean family

A busy Friday always ends with a clean house for us here at the Bergel home. So I thought I would share a tip for cleaning the tub and the story behind me finding that perfect cleaner. After trying so many toxic cleaners on the tub and realizing that only hours later by babies tender tushies were touching it, I decided to make a change. Not that I have the fanciest tub, or the nicest, or even the newest for that matter I just want it to be clean. So after giving up on clorox I tried the Clorox Green cleaner; it worked well but I still did not like the smell. I tried 7th Generation it smelled better but didn't clean very well. After a few others I can't remember the name of I set off to make my own. I searched the internet for recipes, spoke to friends, and looked in home remedy books before I finally came across something that worked. So simple, so easy, and works like a wonder!!
Here is the recipe for my wonderful

tub and tile cleaner:
1/2 cup Baking Soda
2 tbsp Peppermint Castile soap

mix together to make a paste and whala tub cleaner. I use this on my tub and the tiles around our toilets (we have 2 boys). It works great, it's very inexpensive, and smells wonderfully.
