What is in the Co-Op bags this week 7/15

We're baaaaacccckkkkk!! We had a fantastic week off and are ready to co-op. Here is what was in our bags this week....

Announcement #1 **I attached an article about this to this email**
One of our local farmers is setting up a little 'Crop MOB'. It's a time when all of you who are interested in helping out our local foodies and get your hands a little dirty. They have set up two dates for helpers to come out, tour the farm, have lunch with the farmers (their treat!!), and dig in a little to help them out. It's a great way to get more connected with your food source and see exactly where your co-op goodies are coming from!! Maybe it will even be that you'll receive something in your bag that you PLANTED...or from the ground you prepared. Knowing our farmers, Chuck, Dawn, Jon and Mike, I'm sure it will be a fun time for everyone and another great educational experience!!
SO....here's the dates... July 16th and 24th. The Trolley's would appreciate an RSVP to their Crop Mob invite so they can be sure to have plenty of luscious lunches available to everyone. Please let them know if you can come by emailing
chasbt1@yahoo.com. They will be thrilled to hear from you!

Announcement #2
Our local blueberry lady's season is winding down, so she wanted to offer blueberries to everyone with a couple different options. If you would like to buy blueberries for 7/22 pick-up let me know and I will have them for you.
1 pound of fresh Florida blueberries $5.00
1 pound of fresh Florida Baking Blueberries (for jams and whatnot) $4.00

Announcement #3

We had to go another route with the cow. My brother-in-law, Clint, is back in the picture to help us out. The other cow farmer fell though. So Clint was able to make a few phone calls and we should have our cow by August. I'm sorry this has taken a while, but it is a first and we are trying our best. Clint is a trustworthy person and is doing his best to get us the very best deal he can find. He purchases cows for his family every year and is getting his along with ours, so I know he has our best interest in mind.
