Pumpkin Bread
This is one of my most favorite bread recipes. I only make this during the holidays and it is always a hit!!
Pumpkin Bread
(yields 2 loafs)
3 cups sugar
1 cup salad oil
4 eggs beaten
1 can (16 oz) pumpkin
3 ½ ½1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
½1/2 tsp cloves
2/3 cup water
Directions: Cream sugar and oil together. Add eggs and pumpkin, mix well. Sift together dry ingredients; add dry ingredients alternately with water. Pour into two well greased and floured 9 by 5 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350º F, 1½ hour and 10 minutes, or until tests done. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cool.
