FYI, we clean our eggs dry (with a scrub brush) so as not to disturb the bloom. If they are unusually dirty, they get rinsed in very warm water (90+ degrees) only; we use no chemicals or detergents. We also candle the eggs to make certain there are no cracks. The eggs are not organic (b/c we cannot get organic feed this far south without paying enormous fees), but the hens are free-ranged daily and we feed them flax seed so that the eggs are fortified with Omega-3's.
