Smothered and Covered with Turkey Burgers
Smothered and Covered Potatoes
4 russet potatoes
4 slices American Cheese
1/2 bunch of green onions
1 Garlic Clove
Olive oil
Directions;
heat oil, add chopped green onion and minced garlic. Cook until fragrant. Chop the potatoes and throw in. Add water until half way up the potatoes. Heat until boiling then turn the heat to simmer and cover. Heat until the water has evaporated and the potatoes are tender. Take off the heat and put sliced cheese on top. Cover until cheese has melted and eat!
Moist Turkey Burgers
1 pound ground turkey
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp poultry seasoning
2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
oil
Combine all ingredients excluding the oil. Heat the oil in a pan (I used my cast iron). Form the turkey into balls, flatten, then put a one inch indentation on the top. Put the burgers in the pan indentation side up. Cook on one side for about 3 minutes, flip and cook for 3 more. Turn the heat down, cover, and cook for 7 minutes or until done.
**This is just my off the cuff memory of a recipe I read out of America's Test Kitchen Cookbook**
