My baby's got a new seat!
A lovely rainy day here in Southwest Florida. Luke took me to a movie. We had some lovely mommy and son time. The look on his face as we entered the theater was priceless. His eyes stayed large and focused for most of the movie until he turned to me and said, "mommy this is cool!"After we got home and had dinner, Todd announced Luke's new big boy seat had ar
rived. It brought a tear to my eye to think of my little guy sitting in the car with little restraints. I carefully pulled out his Britax Boulevard and Todd shoved his new car seat...eh hem... I mean booster into place. He is getting so big so fast right before our eyes.Oh and for the laundry detergent I made, it came out well. It seems to have coagulated and we bought a mixer to mix it up and put it into a container with a spout, I will post after I have actually used it and announce whether it worked or not.

Also, I use a homemade powdered detergent. I used to make and use the liquid, but once I found the powder recipe I realized it took up so much less space that it was worth the switch. My liquid recipe made 5 gallons and the powder recipe can fit in an old oxyclean tub.
1 cup washing soda
1 cup borax
1 scoop Oxyclean
1 bar of shaved soap (we use our homemade - or use Fels Naptha)
---sometimes I buz it in our magic bullet so the soap shavings are smaller and it's more powdery. ---
